Committee votes 7-5 to kill SB11

​

Bad news, but stay tuned . . .

On March 5 the Alabama Senate General Fund Taxation and Finance Committee voted 7-5, with four members absent, to kill SB11--likely ending our chance this year to win state funding for public transit.

SB11 sponsor Sen. Linda Coleman-Madison seemed hopeful for further effort this session, but we're presently aware of no other transit funding bills in either the Senate or the House. We will continue to watch the 2025 legislative session for any opportunity to promote transit funding and will send word should there be any.
