SB91 dies in Senate committee

 

SB91, the bill that would have directed $5 annual vehicle tag fees to the Alabama Public Transit Trust Fund, has failed on a 7-6 vote in the Senate Taxation and Finance Committee. Sponsor Sen. Linda Coleman-Madison has vowed to bring the bill back in the 2025 legislative session. ACT will work in the off-season to build support for approval next year.
